ACLU wins case against schools on illegal fees and schools refuse to honor settlement

Some School districts in California have honored their legal obligation to provide all school services to all students for free. Some school districts have made reckless decisions to continue to bill parents and bully students out of programs that are available to wealthier kids when they know it is a violation of the students civil rights and illegal to do so.
But those school districts don’t care.
They just use the taxpayers money to pay for the lawyers and continue to abuse their power and position by bullying kids and families into paying fees for what is legally required to be provided for free.
The school districts are required to provide a simple form to parents so they can file to have all fees returned to them. It seems that many school districts have decided to stall this as they try to phase out the fees. Then after the fees have not been charged for three years they would provide the information and forms.
To get your money back you need to demand it today!
Since VUSD has not provided a contact person or a procedure I have contacted the Superintendent Joyce Bales directly to ask for my money back.
Her email is joycebales@vusd.k12.ca.us
and her phone number is (760) 726-2170
Upon my last attempts to contact her I was ignored for some time so it may be best to visit her in her office at
1234 Arcadia Ave. Vista, CA 92084
To protect my rights I am sending a registered letter to her at the above address.
How about you?
